More medals coming home from Thunder Bay!

Congratulations to Red River Nordic skiers, 17 year old Sean Carter and 13 year old Conor McGovern, on their podium performances today in the Individual Classic Sprint race of the Ontario Cup #1 at Thunder Bay’s Lappe Nordic Centre.

Sean’s been having a great weekend so far finishing a close 4th is yesterday’s 7.5 K classic race. Sean won silver in the Junior Boys A Final today. This kid’s on fire!

Young upstart Conor McGovern is also proving rather flammable this year, his first as a Midget racer. Conor’s bronze medal today brings the total medal count for Manitobans up to 3 so far at this weekend’s event.
