David Lumgair, 1933 – 2026
CCSAM is sad to learn that David Lumgair passed away on June 23 at age 92.
David made major contributions to cross country skiing in Manitoba during the past few decades, particularly through the Shannondale trail system, but also by sharing his knowledge and ideas about trail grooming with others.
His larger-than-life personality entertained and informed skiers at Shannondale. Many people make the trip to ski at Shannondale partly to enjoy conversations with him.
He will be missed.
