Good Reasons to Participate in our Annual General Meeting

Here’s your reminder to become actively involved in the future of Friends of Birds Hill Park. Plan to attend the AGM on Wednesday, October 26 at the Birds Hill Park Ranch. Registration opens at 6:30. See the attached poster for details. Presentations by three representatives of Manitoba Conservation will provide diverse perspectives related to the park. Let us know you’re coming (so we’ll be sure to have enough cookies on hand) and bring your travel mug (if you have one) to enjoy Starbuck’s Coffee.

Here’s why you should come:

Meet the Board: These are the people who run the programs, represent the membership and develop Friends of Birds Hill Park programs.

Ask pointed questions: Find out how the organization is run. Ask for budget information, policies, how were major decisions reached, who reached them, and what were the processes? Were these decisions recorded?

Be involved: Join Friends of Birds Hill Park and help keep Friends moving forward in a direction that is important to you and other members… Contribute to an organization that is functional, credible and accountable.
