Windsor Park Nordic Centre News – 100 Days to Snow!

News September 14, 2026

While summer might look quiet on the trails, our team has been busy getting Windsor Park Nordic Centre ready for another season.
Besides trail preparation and equipment checks there are two major projects we’re especially excited about:
1) Our new garage – to house the growing fleet of grooming and snowmaking equipment. After 4 years of preparation ground was broken August 10 with hopes to have it operational by winter.

2) Upgrading our trail lighting.
Here’s a piece of Windsor Park  Nordic Centre history – the original 25 lights lining our trails were installed in the 1970s. Most of the rest are from the 1990s. So, after more than 50 years of lighting the way for generations of night skiers, they’re finally getting an upgrade. It’s a big project, and it’s one that will help make our trails brighter, more reliable, and ready for many more winters to come.
