Pinawa
The Whiteshell Cross Country Ski Club maintains 40K of classic ski trails in Canadian Shield forest and on the Pinawa Golf Course. 12K of those trails also have a skate ski track beside the classic track. 1.2K of the trails is lit.
The Pinawa Club is open year round as a licensed restaurant and lounge. Skiers are welcome to use this facility. Food or beverages, not purchased in the Pinawa Club, are not permitted in the building (please save your bag lunches and thermoses for the trail). The Pinawa Club is home for many member and non-member activities – curling, bingo & club lunches to name a few. If your group is large please contact the Manager (204) 753-2294 prior to arrival to ensure that the facility can accommodate your party. It is important to the CCSAM and the Whiteshell Cross Country Ski Club that all skiers respect Pinawa Club staff & members and comply with the rules and regulations. Maintaining our good relations will ensure the building remains available to us for special events such as the annual Manitoba Loppet.
The Whiteshell Ski Club maintains warming huts located on the Red, Orange, and English River Trails. Skiers may use them at their own discretion. The Club charges no fees, takes no bookings, and assumes no responsibility for the safety and well-being of the users. Users should be self-sufficient and be prepared to handle any eventuality (for example, lack of firewood, injuries, accidents, poor signal strength for cell phones, and the possibility of sharing the premises with others.) Donations help our non-profit, volunteer group to cover the cost of maintaining the trail network and the warming huts. For assistance in an emergency, call 911.
