Pine Falls
The Duck Lake Ski Club maintains an 11K trail system that starts across the street from the hospital in Pine Falls. It is well-maintained with beautiful rolling scenery and goes through a variety of boreal mixed wood forest, balsam fir forest, lowland black spruce forest, black spruce/ tamarack bog, meadow, and black ash trees. It’s gently rolling terrain with one major climb and no steep downhills. There’s a charming warming hut (Doyle-Pitre Chalet) along the trail.
The trails are regularly groomed. The club purchased a new groomer in February 2020.

See the Maps tab (below) for an interesting brochure and map. The brochure’s map is missing a 1.7K linear trail called Rabbit that runs north-south along the eastern edge of the trail system … see this map: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10207608908837389&set=g.520056288108300).
