Prairie Holiday Loppet

December 28 at 10am.

Let’s start the season off with a family oriented loppet at Windsor Park with friends and family outside on skis.

There is an event for everyone, pick your distance and enjoy the trails. Once finished enjoy a hot chocolate and other treats while standing around the fire with family and friends.

The distances will be roughly;

• 700m or 3.5km for kids and beginner skiers.
• 7km, 14km or 21km for the more experienced skiers.

Choose the distance you’d like to ski, and enjoy a course designed to enable all to participate and enjoy the day.

The event will be freestyle, meaning skate or classic.

Registration fees:

$15 dollars per person

or

$30 dollars per family (discount will be applied at checkout).

Registration closes at 8pm on December 27th, 2024.

Pre-Race Meeting and Bib Pick up

There will be a pre-race meeting at 9:30 outside the clubhouse.

It will be a mass start free technique with a classic track on the side as much as we can for those who want to classic.

Start time for the short course (kids) will be at 10:00, with the adults (bigger kids) starting at 10:30am.

The finish line will be the same for all races.

Post event Potluck lunch

In the spirit of community during the holidays, let’s have a moment to share the holiday cheer and have a post-race potluck.

Please contribute a dish if you’re able to.

Some suggestions would be;

-crock pot meals, fruit or veggies, crackers and cheese, snacks, etc.

Depending on the weather we might be able to eat outside around the fire.
