2025 Prairie Holiday Loppet

Let’s start the season off with a family oriented loppet at Windsor Park Nordic Centre with friends and family outside on skis.

There is an event for everyone, pick your distance and enjoy the trails. Once finished enjoy a hot chocolate and other treats while standing around the fire with family and friends.

The distances will be roughly; as course needs to be finalized:

  • 700m or 3.5km for youth and beginner skiers.
  • 7.5km or 15km for the more experienced skiers.

Choose the distance you’d like to ski, and enjoy a course designed to enable all to participate and enjoy the day.

Registration fees:

$15 dollars per person

or

$40 dollars per family (discount will be applied at checkout).

Registration closes at 8pm on December 26th, 2025

Start time: 

  • 10:00 AM for short course
  • 10:30 AM for long course

It will be a mass start free technique with a classic track on the side as much as we can for those who want to classic.

Post event potluck lunch

In the spirit of community during the holidays, let’s have a moment to share the holiday cheer and have a post-race potluck.

Please contribute a dish if you’re able to. Some suggestions are – crock pot meals, fruit or veggies, crackers and cheese, snacks, etc.

Depending on the weather we might be able to eat outside around the fire.
