CCC AGM – request for feedback

Dear Ski Community:

RE: Request for Issues / Concerns to be brought to the Cross Country Canada (CCC) Annual General Meeting June 7 – 10, 2012.

Nordic Skiing in Canada is based on a “Club” approach. Specifically individual skiers are encouraged to belong to a Nordic ski club. These ski clubs are grouped together in our Division: Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba (CCSAM). Each province and territory in Canada have their own Division. The Divisions are governed by CCC, which is run by a volunteer Board and a small staff.

Karin McSherry our Executive Director and myself Richard Huybers Chairman of CCSAM will be attending the CCC AGM. We request you Contact us with your questions, concerns and issues that you would like us to bring forward on your behalf. An example of one issue that has recently developed is the issue of ski trail grooming in Riding Mountain National Park. Proposed federal budget cuts may result in no Nordic ski grooming in the Park in the 2012-2013 season (click here for more info).
