Paint Lake Provincial Park
Manitoba Parks maintains a couple of groomed trails in Paint Lake Provincial Park, located 30 minutes south of Thompson on PTH 6. The trails are relatively flat, making for a pleasurable ski through tall spruce stands. When visiting Paint Lake, be sure to make a stop at nearby Pisew Falls Provincial Park to check out one of Manitoba’s signature destinations in winter.
A 1 km to 2 km loop for classic skiing is groomed through the Paint Lake Campground (exact distance may vary). Park at the marina and access the trail from the Campground Office.
Liz Lake Trail is a 2 km loop multi-use path, with classic tracks on one lane and walking/snowshoeing on the other lane. Trail is accessed at the end of the Liz Lake Subdivision Road.
