Duck Mountain Provincial Park

Manitoba Parks maintains over 30 km of classic tracked trails in Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Because of the mountain’s elevation and forest covering, snow is usually plentiful. Accommodations are available at Childs Lake and Wellman Lake.
Childs Lake Trail
14 km trail starting from Childs Lake Lodge and beach area, a linear trail leading through the campground, then on to two loops through the forest and along the lake shore. At the end of the far loop is the newly built Granola Lodge warm-up shelter and rest area — a scenic spot on the shore of Childs Lake. These are relatively flat trails with some minor inclines and curves.

Wellman Lake – Glad Lake Trail
4 km classic track starting from Wellman Lake Campground boat launch, leading through the campground, then on to a loop, and return through the campground. A very scenic trail along the shores of Glad Lake and through the forest upon return. Relatively flat trail with some minor inclines and curves.

Wellman Lake – Regatta Bay Trail
Two loops — 2.8 km & 2.6 km (total 5.4 km) — classic track, starting from Regatta Bay picnic site and United Church Camp entrance. These scenic linked loops go through tall spruce stands and have some challenging hills on the far loop.
