Doug Keith Tribute – Photos & Report

Many members of the cross country ski community attended a Tribute to Doug Keith hosted by the Birch Mountain Sports Club this past Sunday including CCSAM Chairman Richard Huybers, Past Chair Brent Bottomley and Director at Large Andy Dwilow.

30 – 40 people travelled from all over the province to gather at the Birch Ski Area in memory of Doug. Pastor Nathan Weselake gave a short eulogy, led a prayer and invited anyone to share their memories.

Audrey Comte from Birch Mountain Sports club welcomed all and thanked everyone who donated funds for the Memorial now placed at the base of the birch trees in front of the clubhouse (see pictures).

Everyone enjoyed the day, the land, the lunch of pulled pork (roasted by the local Hutterites), buns/salads/coffee/dainties and each others company.
