Coaching Grants – Grey Cup Legacy

The Grey Cup Legacy Fund was established by the Grey Cup festival Committee, with the surplus of funds arising from the holding of the 1991 Grey Cup Game in Winnipeg, to promote excellence in football and other sports in Manitoba through the development of coaching expertise.

Application Deadline: May 30

Programs supported by the FUND include:
Coaching scholarships tenable in Manitoba’s Universities:
Coaching scholarships of $1,500.00 each may be granted to individuals sponsored by a Manitoba university or Provincial Sport Organization.
Support for Coaching Seminars: Grants of up to $4,000.00 in support of conduct of coaching seminars may be made to relevant sports associations.
Support for “Master Coach-in Residence” Programs: Grants of up to $3,000 may be made to a sponsoring sport association wishing to facilitate extended visits by experts in fields relevant to coaching development.
Support for Sport Management Internships: Internships of up to $1500 may be made to a host organization wishing to provide a hands-on, challenging and individualaized opportunity to further develop a students professional skills.
