Strap on your skis and get ready for the 8th annual Riding Mountain Loppet on Saturday March 1st, 2014. A Norwegian term for a long-distance cross-country ski race, a “loppet” is for anyone who loves the joy of gliding across the snow, whether for fun or competition. In order to keep the event family friendly, but challenging for competitive skiers, the 2014 Loppet will offer distances ranging from the 2.0 km Chipmunk Challenge, to the 6.0 km Jackrabbit route, to the 12.0 km Cougar circuit, and finally the 24.0 km Wolf endurance course.
Loppet Schedule of Events
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration / Skier Check in & Ski Waxing (Friends Learning Centre – 154 Columbine Street, Wasagaming)
12:00 p.m. All Loppet races begin
1:30 p.m. Post Race “Come & Go” Wrap-up Meal (Onanole Recreation Centre)

Register for the Riding Mountain Loppet by the February 24th Early Bird deadline &be entered into a special prize draw to win a winter retreat to the Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre*.
