Bronze medal for Levi Nadlersmith at Haywood NorAm in Thunder Bay!
Downtown Nordic skier Levi Nadlersmith (14) from Boissevain raced an impressive 7.5K classic race yesterday at the Haywood NorAm Cup/ON Cup/World Junior & U23 Trials event in Thunder Bay’s Lappe Nordic Ski Centre.
Racing to a bronze place podium finish, Levi was just 36 seconds behind the leader in a deep field of older Juvenile skiers. A surprise to no one whose been watching Levi grow up with skis on his feet instead of shoes. Folks say the lad’s been skiing 10K everyday since nursery school.
A bus load of Manitoba’s finest ski racers from Midgets to Masters are in Thunder Bay all weekend. Today’s event is an Individual classic sprint for Midget’s to Open skiers. The Masters will get their chance on Sunday in the distance Free Technique event.
