I classic skied in Riding Mountain National Park the last two weekends. The park has over 60 cms of snow from my local intel. This week the park started grooming. I skied laps on the Wasagaming Campground trails. Trackset both single and double tracks. Winter is well on its way in western Manitoba.

This week we did some skiing at Riding Mountain. Did Grey Owl, lot more snow there but pretty icy, used klister, was doable. I see why people switched to skins. Wasagaming loops were also fast and fun. Let’s hope for more snow.

Edward’s Creek was getting pretty soft in the sunny areas. Crawford Creek has been groomed for multi-use, so we skate skied. Coming down the top half was less fun because of sloughed-off icy lumps under every spruce tree.

They double track set classic tracks all the way to the Grey Owl cabin. The grooming was excellent. Firm tracks. Very little debris.
