Tracks have been refreshed and most of it was very good. At below freezing the grip is tough, the hills are fast, and the track for snowplow and herringbone is quite uneven and chunky – careful on the downhills! Whatever they are doing to try and groom for skate is not working.

Trails are in marginal condition, fair would be generous. Not sure what’s happened to the ability to groom Grand Beach (seem like they started to pack a foundation, and then left it a chunky mess). It’s still a nice trail and forest of course, but the lack of good tracks is a major disappointment.

A single track went out-and-back up Blueberry, not sure where to. And a couple of snowshoers. Great snow cover. Such a shame the province can’t do better with these trails.

Some small cars had made it in to Chickadee. I was surprised to find the roads uncleared. They were doing some plowing as we left this afternoon.
