I imagine that the mornings after night frost would be very icy. Amazing that one could still go on Good Friday!</p>

Instead I had a rather bad break with helpers standing by lend assistance. They helped me get to the car and I&#8217;ve since had successful surgery and been released. Used my touring skis to ski in the tracks and pack down the flakes, partner was on skin skis.  A couple hours in it was soft and snowbally in the sunshine, but still decent glide in the shade. Good conditions. The ~5 cm of new snow is skied into the right track. In a few places it was very moist.<br />
The Group Use Road has too much loose snow on it to be skiable. It needs to be groomed, or you can wait for a few days of melt and freeze for it to settle.</p>

Mine was fantastic for skate skiing a few days ago and again on Sunday morning. At below freezing temps it was beautiful crust, ranging in depth from a few mm to many cm. When melting, it is transformed slush that a well prepared ski base glides over nicely. I can ski a loop up to 1.1 km. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The trails where groomed Saturday, we skied the outer loop Sunday morning, good track, but icy.  Very few bare spots very easy to ski around.  I skied the big hill on the north side, icy and fast, my wife skipped it. </p>
<p>About 100 geese have returned, sun tanning on grass sections .</p>
<p>Only a few skiing days left.  Most of the signs have fallen down.</p>

Trails are in great shape, as the icy conditions are now covered with velvety fresh snow. Its a great finish to a wonderful season of skiing at Windsor Park Nordic Center. I started on classic skis at -3° and cloudy. Trails were &#8220;soft icy&#8221;, not &#8220;ice&#8221;, and very fast. 15 minutes after the sun came out and the temp rose a couple degrees, un-shaded tracks became softer and tracks slowed down somewhat.<br />

Were disappointed to find the tracks to be very shallow, at least the first 100 meters so decided to ski  Bittersweet instead.</p>
